The Great Beast

The Great Beast
(Massacre Records - 2001)

The Great Beast is the 4th release of the extreme dark metal band from Germany. During the last years the band toured a lot and so many fans ofthis dark satanic metal will know them.
After the release of Infernal Satanic Verses the line-up changed, but that doesn't effect the band musically.
The melodic keyboard lines take some of the aggression of Beelzebub's vocals which are not really death metal growls, but influenced by this genre... Sometimes he uses growls, sometimes his vocals are closer to the black metal genre... Musically the band is more located in the black metal genre, but that they fit into both genres they proofed on tour when they toured with the big names of both metal styles.
To get an idea, check out: Lucifers Angel, Eyes Of Horror, Spirits In Black and And Evil Will Shall Die.

The Great Beast

The Great Beast
(Massacre Records - 2001)

Wow! Unbelievable what the black metallers from the South of Germany deliver with The Great Beast! It seems that the change from Last Episode Records to Massacre Records motivated the guys from Mystic Circle. I haven't expected such a murder album! With this album Beelzebub and his circle created a new category. The guys combine elements of traditional metal with their roots and the result is what they call Dark Satanic Metal. The music of The Great Beast is the sound track for entering satanic worlds. A milestone for the black metal genre. And the great artwork... Only the cover would be worth spending the money!
