some thrashy elements - a good combination! Vocals range from clean vocals to raw parts to hardcore-like shouts. The first track Soil For Growing is a neck breaker! If this one won't make you bang your head, then you are dead! With Lines In The Sand they present another excellent track. With the final song on Strandead they show their softer side... Tearworks is a relaxed tune and ends with counterpart vocals.
Partly shredded guitars, partly heavy riffs.... Double bass drum parts or a groovy rhythm - that describes the sound elements of Strandead. They also offer a cover version and they chose Faith No More's Digging The Grave. As I don't know more than the name Faith No More, I can't compare Mindcrime's version with the original. All I can say, it sounds good - and that can be said about whole album!
