Mind Hypnotic Vision Towards Revolution

Mind Hypnotic Vision Towards Revolution
(self-released - 2000)

I guess someone told me about this band... Anyway, I listened to the demo of the New York-based band and will know let you know about this piece of music.
The band was founded back in 1999 by Jamaican guitarist Karla Williams and Israeli singer Lizza Hayson and soon the line-up was complete by drummer Peter Lobodzinski and bassist Benjamin Serf. About a year later the band recorded this demo which is called Mind Hypnotic Vision Towards Revolution. The demo offers 4 tracks which bewitches me with their sounds, atmosphere, mysticism and ethnical elements. If you listen to a track The Time Has Come you'll understand that it's hard to describe their music. It's a kind of crossover, but too many other influences so that it's impossible to name any band to give you a clue. The voice of Lizza Hayson is deep and sometimes she is almost growling. The guitar of Karla Williams is heavy and noisy. On Open Your Minds they are more emotional, melodically, but still very heavy. There singer Lizza changes between deep growls and melodic vocal lines.
I can just recommend everybody who isn't afraid of experimental sounds check out the songs on the bands website! Check out: www.mahavatar.net
