Germany's Ian Anderson is still alive! Ricky van Helden and his band Attack are very popular in Japan, but in Germany they are just known by insiders. The Secret Place is their 7th album and again they are out to convince the ignorant German journalists with their music. For 10 years they stick to their musical path which is mystic power metal with a speed metal touch. Obviously they stick to their roots, even if that might give their music a touch of old-fashion. Anyway, a band who has a multi-talent like Ricky van Helden in their lines don't have to stay in the shadows. The songs are quite good, so check out Light In The Dark, The Warrior and the moving instrumental Tsoukata which remind me in the beginning a little bit of Udo Lindenberg's Klavierlehrerin. I like it!
