The band Adler's Appetite was founded in early 2003. Former Guns'n'Roses drummer Steven Adler joined forces with singer Jizzy Pearl (ex-Love/Hate), guitarist Keri Kelli and bassist Robbie Crane. Through the bands website they distribute their first album - a short self-titled one with 6 tracks incl. an Aerosmith cover.
The opening track Suicide is a dark rocker with an catchy refrain. But it's Jizzy Pearl's voice which stands out and so it's a love or hate affair. On the following 99 he is showing a bit more variety and gets a bit more emotional. And a great solo by Keri Kelli! Cool track! With Empty they slow down and present a hard rock ballad in the vein of Bryan Adams - Jizzy also has this raspy voice here. With Hollywood they start grooving... A heavy grooving rocker with a catchy refrain - the discs highlight! Actually the chorus remind me a bit of W.A.S.P.... And with Little Dancer they offer a moody tune which shows another facet of their sound.
As this should just be an appetizer for their full-length debut it should get them some attention and raise the expectations for the CD. Well done!
