Blind
(Scarlet Records - 2012)

If you hear fairytale music it is often in the genre of symphonic or gothic metal, and that is precisely the case when Whyzdom releases their second album after the debut with From The Brink Of Infinity. Vynce Leff is still the creative mind for the band, and with a new singer, Elvyne Lorient, is seems as Whyzdom are strong and well-working now. The music from Whyzdom is clever and genuine, but in the far end you risk getting tired listening to it, as there is not so much new ideas coming up. To visualize their music they have produced several music videos of the new songs, but still it doesn't help very much on the quality. The Foreseer is one of the new songs, well written, but without the greatest of music attractiveness. There is a ballad on the album, Paper Princess, that is pure adventure with beautiful piano and developing hard metal, but the rest of the songs are made to fit into the fairytale world of gothic metal.
