The Californian band We're Not Friends Anymore use a name which didn't give anything away about their music. Well, you have the chance to listen to these demo tracks e.g. at their MySpace.
They kick off with Revised which combines sharp, heavy riffs with groove and clean, emotional vocals as well as some grunts and growls. They vary in speed, they mix different sounds and create their own blend. There are slow melodic passages and there are raw parts with grunts and screams. A very modern sound they offer... And you can label them as a Screamo band. At the beginning Abandonment sounds a bit chaotic, but this is intentionally. They soon get back on track and surprise again with complex structures and unexpected sounds. In general that can be said about the 3 track Shame as well, even if it seems to be a bit harder... and also darker with its growls and scolding vocals. But singer Mariano can also show his clean, melodic voice.
