The British quintet Virtue only released this single and never a full-length album. A-side track We Stand To Fight is a heavy rocker with a catchy hook. Singer Tudor Sheldon has a warm timbre and adds some clean, powerful vocals. But also the guitar riffs and solo parts of Matt Sheldon and Boz Beast are making this a great tune. High Treason is the B-side and reminds me guitar-wise a bit of early Iron Maiden... Again the vocals are catchy and the song invites to sing along the chorus and to bang your head the rest of the time - okay, perhaps not during the mid-tempo part. Towards the end of the song both Sheldon's sing together. Cool!
Both songs been written by the Sheldon brothers. And I wonder what happened that they didn't left a mark on 80's metal... And why we didn't hear from them later on..
