Here is a great demonstration of what the British metal under the description NWoBHM has achieved, the band from 2005 Vendetta. Now they are releasing their 3rd album, and the praise can not be high enough for what this English quartet is doing. Edward Box is the key member of the band, doing both guitars and vocals and a creative master when it comes to melodic and typical British type of metal deeply inspired by bands like Saxon, Judas Priest and Def Leppard. The opening song, Convergence, is short and only just an appetizer to the rhythm that comes in Halo In Black, where the Vendetta metal starts to get serious with melodic and well-written old fashioned metal. Vendetta is focusing on the environmental and political issues in their music, and with Machtpolitik we get comments from the band along with slow melodic but still massive hard guitar driven super metal. Blast Radius is very simple constructed metal but powerful enough to get the message clear of great heavy metal which is inspired by the sound Def Leppard created in the 80's. Lords Of Chaos is the strongest song on the album and with all the fantastic guitar skills that Edward Box produces. Fragmented Reality serves both genuine melodic metal and a brilliant guitar solo that makes you think of the way Graham Oliver played the guitar in the old Saxon days. All Your Setting Suns goes for the soft and powerful image and fully lives up to the very high quality the songs have on Vendetta's 3rd album. All fans of traditional British metal will not be disappointed with this new piece of music that continues the sound created in England during the 80's.
