Guitarist Steve Vai is known as a solo artists as well as a former member of Alcatrazz, Whitesnake, David Lee Roth band and Frank Zappa. On this double CD are 32 songs from the musical career of Mr. Vai, only songs from his days with David Lee Roth and Frank Zappa are missing. But also Alcatrazz and Whitesnake are not represented enough in my opinion, coz there is only one song from each band. For fans of Steve Vai who already own all his work this isn't interesting, but for everybody else. Songs like All About Eve, For The Love Of God and The Blood & Tears are presenting the work of the American very well. More then 150 minutes of guitar rock / metal and so a good lesson for young guitarists.
Musically it's value for money, but I think they should have more care of the booklet. What about a short biography? What about a discography? And what about some liner notes? It's a pity that the label hasn't thought about this.
