(Frontiers Records - 2018)

Two Of A Kind was founded by Fred Hendrix and back in 2007 they released a self-titled debut, now they are back! The Dutch sextet is focusing on melodic rock with powerful female vocals and so Two Of A Kind features two singers - Esther Brouns and Anita Craenmehr. The instrumentalists are mainly know from Terra Nova, only Fred Hendrix brother Ron isn't part of Terra Nova.

They kick off with Here Is The Now, a powerful melodic rocker which reminds me a bit of Lita Ford ... It's like Lita is singing some Heart tune... Fred Hendrix bass is prominent on Rock The World and builds the heavy base together with Hans in 't Zandt's drums. Big backings take you back to the 80's and artists like Pat Benetar, Robin Beck and Vixen.

For the balladesque Naked they did a video, so check it out!

On a heavy guitar riff Touch The Roof is based and puts the focus on the vocals. Unfortunately I have no clue who of the ladies is singing this one. Anyway, the clear, powerful vocals make this catchy one special. Acoustic guitar and vocals lead you into Without You, another enchanting melodic rocker. Even if I think this one would get even more intense without the big backings...

The closer Run Girl isn't a happy rocker, it has a sad edge. But it'll haunt you! It sticks out due to the different atmosphere, you won't forget this one!

A quite good album with some great tracks, so fans of female fronted melodic rock should get a copy! If you undecided, check out Here Is The Now, Rock Your World, Touch The Roof and Run Girl!
