Since their last album from 2007 it has been a tough time for the American metallers Twisted Tower Dire, they parted with longtime vocalist Tony Taylor (who later on died in a motorcycle accident in 2010), and now it's Jonny Aune who's holding the microphone. But they gather their forces and releases their 1st album on Cruz del Sur in 2011. Their influence is from the classic heavy metal with bands like Bon Jovi and Riot, but Twisted Tower Dire serves their songs with lots of energy, and the 8 songs on Make It Dark are all filled with melodic speed and enormous guitar technique and their new singer Jonny Aune does a great job to replace Tony Taylor. The songs are practically all alike, but why should anybody complain when they have the class that they actually have. The Stone, Make It Dark and The Only Way stands extra in front with competent compositions of fast superb metal with the sound from the 80's and 90's.
