Big Hits And Nasty Cuts

Big Hits And Nasty Cuts
(Atlantic Records - 1992)

I think every metal fan heard of Twisted Sister, but some are probably not familiar with their music - beside one or two tracks which are frequently played at parts. Guitarist Jay Jay French started the band back in 1973 in New York, but it took them 9 years until they signed the dotted line. Then they started a rocket like career. Played on every party, videos been broadcasted on every hard music show and the clips were so different to what was in TV that days that they got more and more attention. Mainly singer Dee Snider is responsible for the success the band achieved, coz he's the main songwriter and in the focus. Their creed - "look like women, talk like men, play like motherfuckers" - they lived to the fullest. In their early days they been part of the metal scene, but these days you might call it street rock....
I don't want to get into detail, coz the hits are known, but for the ones who don't owe the albums of Twisted Sister this is a good way to have the essentials, even if it never will be complete. The album has 10 studio tracks and 5 live versions which show the live energy of the band. Even if this can't give you the live experience, but well... Listen and travel back in time with the Twisted Sisters.
