Bloodstone

Bloodstone
(Century Media - 2001)

The Norwegian quintet is around for a decade and Bloodstone is their 3rd album. Again they present viking death / black metal partly doom elements been added. Like on their first release they got joint by Tonje Ettesvoll, she gives the songs this special something. As counter part the 3 mainmen found Dolgar who was the singer of Gehenna and Forlorn.
Songs like A Land Forlorn presents the band at it's best including slow, bombastic parts and Dolgar and Tonje singing, but not in a way Theatre Of Tragedy do/did it. The music is very powerful, the guitars present the heavy side and the keyboards the bombastic one. A good mixture, but the fans will show, if they are on the way to the top of this scene or not. Time will tell.
