Prophet Of The Last Eclipse

Prophet Of The Last Eclipse
(Limb Music Prod. - 2002)

It's been 3 years since Rhapsody guitarist Turilli released his solo debut which was quite successful and entered the charts in different countries.
Now in 2002 he give it another try and tries to continue the success of his solo album with his new one Prophet Of The Last Eclipse. After an epic intro the master present us 9 melodic metal tracks in the way we know Mr. Turilli. The album was produced by Sascha Paeth and Miro at the Gate-Studio and the Pathway Studio; they are known for their work with bands like Angra, Kamelot, Rhapsody, Heavens Gate and Virgo. The vocal parts are done by Olaf Hayer and for the bonus track Demonheart he could get Shaman singer André Matos (ex-Angra). For the keyboards Miro was responsible and the drums been played by Robert Hunecke-Rizzo. Producer Sascha Paeth took over the four strings and also played some guitars on the album. Outstanding are the 3 different choirs which are an essential part of the arrangements and always were an important element in the philosophy of Mr. Turilli. The cover concept Luca Turilli handed to Marc Klinnert for realization; Klinnert already worked e.g. for Rhapsody.
At least it's obvious that the musician Luca Turilli continued his way with his 2nd solo album and a bright and successful future seems to be ahead of him.
The current musical style the artist himself calls Symphonic Cosmic Metal! Respect for the creation of another genre naming! Topic of the album is love and life on a faraway planet.
This album is interesting for fans of Rhapsody and Luca Turilli, but also a good start to get into this genre. Check it out!
Luca Turilli announced "We try to present the new album on some festivals and at least with the 3 solo album we will go on tour!" Sounds good and in the meantime we can listen to the albums...
