Demo 2006
(self-released - 2006)

The Goth'n'Rollers from Southern Germany are presenting their 4-track demo now. Musically they sound a bit like The 69 Eyes and Sisters Of Mercy. The opening track is Dance With The Devil and it ain't sound bad... But it lacks the catchiness Sisters Of Mercy have. The raspy voice of Sid van Sin fits to the music, but isn't as charismatic as Andrew Eldritch... On Dead By Dawn they follow the trail of HIM. Not as cheesy and not as much pop as HIM, but less catchy. Sometimes the guitar is too much in the background and sometimes too much upfront... With Beautiful Tales it gets a bit more balladesque... A duet with Fee. Reminds me musically and from the songs atmosphere a bit of The Cure... And singer Sid sounds a bit like Nick Cave. The guitar solo isn't bad, but the guitar is too much upfront and should be tuned a bit lower.... Overdo this and the song will become way better. Not really a catch one, but a solid tune.
The best track on the demo is Your Horrorshow. Here they are a bit different and are on the way to find their own identity.
The band recorded the soundtrack for the movie One By One - as you can read on their website. And they fit to this horror genre with their goth'n'roll, but I miss uniqueness... Catchiness... But they do have potential and talent, but they have to improve.
