The White Crematorium 2.0

The White Crematorium 2.0
(Epitomite Productions - 2009)

The Dutch death metallers from The Monolith Deathcult brings a war story on their new album, a story of how the German troops invaded Russia during the 2nd World War and were caught in the snow masses during the winter attack, this is what the title The White Crematorium refers to. It starts with Army Of The Despised where brutal growls goes hand in hand with German soldier singing as they plan the attack. Then comes the 7 Months Of Suffering, a raw death metal song where the reality gets clear and messy in the hands of the soldiers of the German forces. In one song after another the stride goes on, ending in the songs The White Crematorium and Kindertodestanz where they tell stories of the snow and sings in German language, suddenly breaking into German war hymns to finish the battles. An interesting album from the Dutch band, but almost too brutal and bizarre for getting a greater acceptance.
