Spock's Beard entered the German charts with their latest album V! No support act tonight, but so Spock's Beard came to Düsseldorf to entertain about 1,000 fans with a 150 min. set!
Singer, guitarist and keyboarder in person of Neal Morse was the mainman on stage, but none of his companions miss an enormous talent. Due to the fact that they had all the time in the world, okay a few hours, they could present songs which usually not included in the set due to their length like The Light, The Healing Colors Of Sound, The End Of The Day, The Great Nothing and The Water. Most of the stage time was taken by this five tracks, but still enough time for everybody to show their enormous talent with solo parts and songs like Skin, Thoughts (Part 2) and June. The audience was blown away by the presented music. The band around Neal and Al enjoyed themselves on stage and fooled around without musically failing. Extremely impressive was the acoustic guitar solo which Al and brother Neal played on one acoustic guitar!!!! After they jammed a little they played the last song of the set... Go The Way You Go. And the lights got switched on.... The fans screamed and shouted for several minutes. No chance for the Americans, they had to come back!
They started the encore with a rock jam followed by Squonk and at least Waste Away. Words can't tell the magic this bands is spreading during a live performance. You have to witness this!
