The Struggle

The Struggle
(Demons Run Amok - 2010)

From Danish thrash / hardcore acts one is expecting more than just average, especially when Jacob Bredahl (Barcode, Last Mile, ex-Hatesphere) was responsible for the mixing and mastering - like in case of Straight To You Face. Usually I'm not a big fan of all the stickers you'll find at CDs to promote an album, but in case of The Struggle this isn't raising expectations which can't get fulfilled. The sound is fat, powerful and clear and Straight To Your Face deliver a brute hardcore attack. But what their name suggests they keep. This is straight in your face, aggro hardcore without mercy. The label compares them with Terror, Backfire and Barcode and that's true, additionally you can hear some influences of Hatebreed. If you like the tough guy making a show, if you like brutal straight in your face hardcore, then this is your band! They go full force and with some thrash metal elements and angry gang shouts they spice up their sound. Additionally you'll get a wall of guitars. If you are into brutal hardcore or hatecore, then check out Straight To Your Face! Others won't fall for the Danish!
