Most will know Ferdy Doernberg as the keyboarder of his band Rough Silk as well as from touring with Axel Rudi Pell and playing with Roland Grapow. But he did more then this!
With Storyteller's Rain he presents a rock musical, but it's not pure rock, Ferdy added elements from different genres as classic, folk, jazz and metal. Like a storyteller Ferdy is taking the listener on a trip. The songs are a variety of short stories. Like a book containing short stories this album has songs with different themes. To realize this album master Doernberg got help from Axel Rudi Pell, Mike Terrana, Roland Grapow, Uli Kusch and Tobias Eggsel to name just a few. But not only the different musicians make this one special, also the use of instruments like e.g. sitar and didgeridoo.
