Death's Crown Is Victory

Death's Crown Is Victory
(Into The Void Records - 2014)

The old fighters from Solstice has not been the most active of bands lately, but to follow up on earlier split releases, New Dark Age (1998) and The Lord Weird Slough Feg (2002) there is new material available via Into The Void Records. The new large EP from Solstice is called Death's Crown Is Victory, has 4 long tracks that goes deep as the substance of metal is dripping from their arms. The first song is the instrumental Fortress England, a bombastic and charismatic heavy metal onslaught. I Am The Hunter blows waves of traditional British metal with lots of depth onto the listener, best song of the album, and well-worked in the details. Death's Crown Is Victory gives the fans a touch of fighting metal that goes into the veins. Last song is a rough instrumental hymn of great guitar technique, Aequinoctium II, a quality way to give the album more consistence.
