The Swedish band Sideburn is presenting an album full of cool hard rock tracks. They ennoble their songs with a dash stoner rock which makes the songs even more interesting. The complex progressive parts meet catchy passages. And singer Jani Kataja knows how to use his vocal chords to refine the songs. The majority of the songs are mid-paced, the album is homogenous, but that's also the problem, coz after awhile the catchy tunes loose their charm. Anyway, the song writing is on a high level and so I recommend to check out The Demon's Dance, Rainy Days and Shapes. These tracks will give you an idea what to expect. The album is really entertaining.
