(self-released - 2012)

For their second album Shroud Of Despondency has included new vocalist Ron Blemberg, and he contributes with a very strong voice in both their growls, singing and storytelling. They have on their new album 4 songs called Wanderlust, and these differ as they are softer and in another style with futuristic storytelling, experimenting ways to create a song. Overshadow is their next track where the powerful rhythm and tortured voice follow to crescendos masses of energy. Half Open Gates gives the fans of aggressive death metal something for their money, very intense growls and fast guitars. Light Words, Dark Graves is a special song where they try to combine human growling and wolf howling in the same vocal stream of hard and fast dark metal sound, very exciting. The closing track of the album is something completely different, The Unchaining Of An Animal starts with classical Spanish guitar and violins, relaxed vocals from Blemberg in a tale as if you were in the midst of nature listening to the waterfall effect that also appear in the first of their Wanderlust creations, but the overall theme in The Unchaining Of An Animal is more in the direction of folk metal musical content. An interesting but very different album.
