A Hell Of A Knight

A Hell Of A Knight
(Miskatonic Rec. - 2002)

To describe metal is mostly the point of view of the listener / reviewer. Not everybody will have the same definition I do have for the word metal when it comes to music. But, the songs on this disc are for me METAL! Epic, God-like power metal. This superb epic opus is killer and even if some will call me nuts, singer Sascha Maurer's vocals are unique in the German metal scene! I know that even the death and black metal growls are called as sung, but if you have the self-produced Carpe Diem album then you know what I'm talking about.
Anyway, this piece of metal was done by untamable warriors from the area of Hamburg and armed with the sword they are on their crusade to convert the Nu metal infected and betrayers of metal.
Epic power metal with some US metal influences is what you get and many songs are arranged and become hymns. God-like! Just a few times a song like Armageddon Symphony convinced me that easily. This one is a killer! This is the re-incarnation of true metal music! Or check out Hell Brigade, Ritual Steel or When The Town Knew How To Rock... Supporters of Hammerfall and Rhapsody this album is interesting for you, too. Believe me! Give this original, honest and hard working underground band a chance! Ritual Steel is their name and they call a spade a spade. Even if the band name is a little bit cliché, but steel = metal and Ritual Steel is metal!
