The Enemy Within

The Enemy Within
(Foundation 2000)

A real highlight in the death metal genre nowadays is the album The Enemy Within of Occult. The singer isn't just growling, his lyrics are understandable, the guitar work is superb, they use breaks and tempo changes. Not this dumb death metal blast many bands do. A well structured album.
If you think that death metal is abnormal, then give Occult's The Enemy Within a chance and that might change your mind. Partly they remember me of the German band Torchure.
Highlights: Souls and Self-betrayal.
