Carnivore Mothermouth

Carnivore Mothermouth
(Hypnotic Europe - 1999)

What does the youth in Canada do? They are lumberjacks or make music. Making music can be quite successful as Mr. Jeff Waters and his band Annihilator proof.
Some combine music and lumberjacking and the result is a CD like this. Ten songs without any catching innovations. Aggressive vocals added to monotonous sounds. Usually without catchy melodies they pass with high speed our ears. A positive exception is Devil In My Eyes. With the following track they return to monotony and my interest is gone. This kind of compositions won't catch the interest of fans.
They try to jump on the band-wagon which they partly do successfully, but can't get close to what bands like Fear Factory started.
Okay, the five guys do their best, but can't offer anything new and so this won't be enough to step out of the numerous releases of nowadays metal genre. Just playing straight isn't enough...
