Nàttsòl is a Norwegian band which was founded in 2006 by Erlend Antonsen who writes all music and lyrics. He also plays bass and acoustic guitar at the bands debut Stemning which means atmosphere. The band offers black metal which they combine with elements of Norwegian folk metal. Their music is like the Norwegian nature - wild, beautiful and mysterious.
Ved Baal I Kveldstime starts slowly with acoustic guitars, but then the song explodes and raw black metal sounds are combines with Gregorian-like choirs. Epic and wild. They take you onto a walk at dusk.... Sometimes beautiful, and sometimes threatening. And at night the forests are even more mysterious and frightening. This atmosphere Ved Skog I Natterstid transports. Here they show their black metal roots more then on the predecessor. And with Ved Fjell I Vinterblaest you can feel the cold wind in the mountains during the dark winter days. Cold and merciless Nàttsòl attack the listener - like the winter storms. But now the scheme of the songs is obvious and only the atmosphere changes. At Ved Elv I Eismal Stund they add a new element, so this is almost a black'n'roll tune. And it's like a strong wind which blows over the snow covered land... The clean vocals of Gustav Jørgen Pedersen and the extreme ones of Venomenon gives the song a special feel. The closer Ved Hav I Avdagsleitet begins with acoustic guitar and flute. An acoustic folk tune which got enriched by Anette Gulbrandsen beautiful voice. And you are waiting for the band to storm off into black metal grounds, but they will 'disappoint' you.
