Red Morning Sky

Red Morning Sky
(Active Records - 1996)

This band from Dresden is on the way to follow bands like Amorphis, Pyogenesis and The Gathering at the days of Always. Mystic, dreamy compositions which have a dark, doomy sound are melodic and so can't be compared with all those brutal bands. Living Sorrow left the death metal hammering sound behind. The band exists since 1992, but in my opinion they stick too much to their influences. No doubt Red Morning Sky is a great album, but please a little bit more originality next time and perhaps you can make it big. For a debut album it's pretty good, check out Destroy My Fear, A Look In The Mirror and Forbidden Dream!
