In the mid-90s Johnny Lima stepped into the limelight with his debut album, he kept releasing albums, but the last few years spent mainly as a producer. Now Johnny Lima is back with Livin' Out Loud! The opener All I Wanna Do offers crunchy riffs, a catchy hook and brings back the sleazy hard rock of the 90s. Mr. Lima isn't just singing, he also plays guitar, bass and keyboards. But Craig Takeshita is adding the guitar leads and Bernie F. Diaz is playing drums. The heavy rocker Wildflower has a slight Mötley Crüe touch - especially the chorus -, and is hooking you up right away. Very cool is Hate To Love You which is more based in the melodic metal of the late 80's / early 90's. The chorus is a bit Winger-ish... One of my favorites is Somebody To Love which is a heavy balladesque tune with a sad note. Its followed by a party rocker named Caught In The Middle!
