The French quintet presents a con;ceptual album of melodic black metal with epic fragments and sharp guitar riffing. The album Un lac de Larmes et de Sang... (A Lake Of Tears And Blood) is their 2nd full-length album. Again the French band got a helping hand from Adeline - the singer of Akin - to fill in female vocal parts. Songs like Les révélations d'un temps passe are epic metal with black metal parts and sometimes black metal-like vocals, sometimes deep rough vocals. I think it's a good idea to stick with their mother tongue, coz so the emotions are better transported. And this album is full of emotions, feelings like hope, sadness and doubts. Heavy guitar riffing which is based in traditional metal give them a different sound, also the keyboard and the piano parts add something special to the music of Furia. The keys are played by Mehdi Khadouj who also wrote / co-wrote some tracks. Other guest musicians are Eulalie (violin), Adeline (vocals) and Franky (from Adip / Decibels Storm; clear vocals). A good track to check them out is Les deux mondes... which has all the elements of Furia's sound.
Perhaps for some fans the French lyrics are a problem, but you should give it a try. Actually I think that it would have been a good idea to add - at least - liner notes in English for the better understanding. Anyway, this album is interested for open-minded metal fans, not just for black metal fans!
