Shit/Horns Curve Into Broken Circles

Shit/Horns Curve Into Broken Circles
(Peregrination Records - 2010)

To get a picture of the kind of black metal Donn The Philosophy is practicing their two productions Shit/Horns Curve Into Broken Circles and also Theo/TsimTsum gives a good indication. Donn and his band are very dedicated to the blackest kind of metal where they live up to the intension of being a genuine black metal band in any way. This CD is the complete works from the two abovementioned titles, and unfortunately the production of the CD could have been better since there are way too much bass effects on the whole album. The song titles are long, but tells their own story as introductions for the songs, Malkuth Transforms Into Lilith is one of the kind as far as aggressive satanic brutal metal is concerned. If you can accept the deep bass, the song is a good example of how true black metal fans want their music. Drums are a very important part of Donn's music, and on the song With Black I Absorb Violet Contemplate Red I Summon The Strength To Act there are growls and noise, but also well-written aggressive black metal, a good song after all. Horns Curve Into Broken Circles is a scary song with the fast guitar from Donn and between his growling there is a scary speaking session as though the final day was around the corner.
On the second part of the CD, Theo/TsimTsum there are two songs, Savar Speaks, and Manipulator Of Men, two songs almost built the same way with fast drums held in the most brutal and flesh ripping attitude they can come up with.

Donn The Philosophy and their music are for true black metal who want no fakes, only the real thing.
