Kronet I Svart Eld

Kronet I Svart Eld
(Unexploded Records - 2012)

Dödsfall is actually a Norwegian band, formed in 2010, but they make lyrics in both Norwegian and Swedish language. As their second album, Inn I Mörkets Kongedömme, are being prepared for a release later in 2012, somehow there was extra songs that Dödsfall wanted to release on a separate album, an EP called Kronet I Svart Eld. It was initiated by the producer, Marcus Devo Andersson, and he also features as guest bass player on the song I Skuggans Famn. So, a Norwegian black metal band in a full Scandinavian release. V-Rex is the man behind the Dödsfall band, and these 5 songs are all stylish and surprising on their own, I Skuggans Famn starts the show with speaking dangerously dark in Swedish, and then bursting into a true black metal speedy rhythm that will knock the listeners off their chairs. Av Död Skal Du Herske is a very well-balanced melodic black metal kick, that are fast enough to satisfy a lot of fans, even death metal fans. Mörkets Sirkel is also very fast, and there are some good surprising elements in the creation of this song, elegant and interesting. Gal Tjener gives us a fresh dose of the heavy massive black metal, that are melodic and head banging humoristic in the style, fantastic drumming from Gjermund, not only on this last song, but on the whole EP. This is the extra material from the new full length album, then we can hardly wait until the CD called Inn I Mörkets Kongedömme will arrive in the shops.
