The Wanderer

The Wanderer
(Napalm Records - 2012)

Diabulus In Musica has already reached a high status in today's Gothic metal, and with their new album The Wanderer they take another big step upwards. They do both brutal and soft songs, but all of them are powerful, soft as the concept are for the Spanish super band. To top it all they have a vocal professionalism in singer Zuberoa Aznárez who deliver the soprano voice that make the birds sing. Their songs are melodic built and in a class which places other bands on the sidelines. Sceneries Of Hope gets the symphonic gothic music a boost that it deserves, clear clean vocals from Zuberoa as a perfect contribution to the gothic album. Blazing A Trail adds brutal melodic gothic fantasies that proves their widespread talents for different types of music. The Wanderer is the perfect example of soft melodic Gothic metal with all the qualities of vocal power delivered by Zuberoa Aznárez as she sings quietly with a voice which dominates the scenery. Hidden Reality hits the powerful control Zuberoa has in the way she sings, and the structure of the songs fits perfect for this vocal performance. Sentenced To Life is a song that you can listen to again and again, a duet holding the great voices Diabulus In Musica has as their trademark and a musical masterpiece of love songs and ballads where they once again shows their sublime skills in creating attractive songs. The new album from Diabulus In Musica makes a big impression and will be a very big hit in 2012.
