Metal music is rising highly in popularity in Russia, Deviant Syndrome has released their debut album Inflicted Deviations in their homeland Russia some time ago, and now the label MDD give them a chance on the European market. Their music is a death metal with an input from black metal to spice it up. It has produced a good mix where the melodic line dominates especially in songs like Blessing The Emptiness, The Wicked, Consequence. Unfortunately there are also a very bad intro to the album and 9 minute long instrumental song, very muddy and pulling the quality downwards. All in all an album that gives the grade of 7 stars of 10 possible to the Russian with great ambitions.
