Deris have their name adopted from their singers last name, coz Andi Deris used the time to do another solo project. He's a known singer in the German respectively the European metal scene, he started more then 10 years ago with the Karlsruhe-based band Pink Cream 69 and for quite awhile he's now the singer of the Hanseatic band Helloween. On this output he proofs again that he knows how to realize his own musical ideas. Andi Deris wrote 11 songs for this album which is a decent rock album.
Surely he hasn't invented a new musical style, but with his companions he recorded some convincing tracks. The variety lasts from slower and more mellow tracks like The Best You Don't Need To Pay For or Harvest up to hammering tunes like I Don't Believe In The Good. But most of the songs are slow ones... Mr. Deris got joined on guitar by Don Pupillo, Gisbert Royder on bass and Ralph Mason on drums. The final touch, the production Mr. Deris did himself. Personally I prefer a decent Helloween album, coz there it usually has more innovative and surprising moments. But I have to confess that Andi Deris released a solid piece of work.
