This is again one single mans work, this new release from Mories of the band De Magia Veterum. His new album is this time called The Divine Antithesis, and even though he is experienced with earlier connections with Gnaw Their Tongues, this new release is something so out of the ordinary that many see him as too special and odd. There is no compromise in what he is doing, and with that attitude it has become a full hearted seven song album from Mories, and his music is filled with aggressive brutal black and even more black metal from the forgotten parts of the warehouse. The opening song Transfiguration is an example of this dedicated aggressive style and the content of the song is not bad at all, just very very special, and some would throw the cd in the garbage bag right away, but there is no need for that. The Heavens is of course brutal, but very personal and honest in the blackest corners of black metal. Torn Between Ruins is both funny and melodic, not something you would expect from a committed black metal enthusiast.
