With the hyperfast death metal track Shadow Walker the band from Texas kicks off their album Statistics And Tragedy. Founded in 1994 and with a steady line-up since 1997 the band Death Of Millions of singer Chuck Salvo soon made themselves known nation-wide. So they took part at the Milwaukee Metal Fest from 1996 to 1999! Also they played a lot in Texas supporting bands like Dying Fetus, Cannibal Corpse, Nile, Cryptopsy and many more. A strong following was built up through their website as well as through www.mp3.com/ and www.garageband.com/ which led to some Dies Irae Prod. compilations. Two more demos and in early 2002 Blackend Records signed them for several albums.
Lay In Wait starts with some spoken words / growls before the band joins in. A fast, hammering death metal track which is a good example for D.O.M.'s sound. The band play technical death metal with extreme and provocating lyrics. Very interesting is The Day Of The Last which is splitted into 4 chapters. Short parts where Chuck uses the black metal-style vocals make a change and keep it more interesting. But the band uses this element not just in this long track. The band works with breaks and tempi changes, even if the songs are mainly fast. Interesting for fans of the US and Floridian death metal.
