The Journey

The Journey
(Frontiers - 1999)

The album The Journey is a great hard rock / melodic metal album! When you listen to the tracks you might be reminded of Ten, then you probably listen to This World or Already Gone... On both tracks Ten's Gary Hughs is singing lead vocals and he co-wrote these tracks! On the other tracks Hughes contributed backing vocals. But singer Sam Blue (ex-Ultravox) has a similar voice, so this is kind of the same music Ten offers, but don't think that they are clones. Vinny Burns is in this business for years and most of you will know him from Ten, Asia, Dare and Hugo, so there are similarities. Vinny Burns' solo album is also different from Ten, even if there are similarities. On this album Vinny could play stuff which wouldn't fit to Ten and working with other people always add a different touch to the music. I think this album is interesting for everyone who's listen to the above mentioned bands. Check out: Live In A Dream, Already Gone or Freedom.
