Hotter Than Hell

Hotter Than Hell
(AFM Records - 2010)

Big Ball is a German band which sounds quite Australian, you can call them AC/DC clones, if you want to. So AC/DC fans who wait for another album might dig Big Ball... If you aren't a fan of the rockers from Down Under then you won't miss anything.
I confess that I loved AC/DC with Bon Scott, but never got into them with Brian Johnson - and so I do have my problems with Hotter Than Hell. Sure, the band's performance is good, but like AC/DC the songs sounds too much alike for me. And before someone mentions Airbourne, well it's the same to me, just that Airbourne's album had the advantage that it was released earlier. To have one band sounding like AC/DC is one thing, but do I need another one? I don't, but that doesn't mean that fans of the Australians can't enjoy them! But I wonder why they don't try to sound more original, coz so they sound like clones. Good cover band I would say...
The guys offer 13 songs and the album has a running time of almost 48 minutes. Check them out, if you like the stomping rock of AC/DC!
