The Dawn Of Time

The Dawn Of Time
(Lion Music - 2010)

Fans of guitar albums will know George Bellas for many years, his first album was released in 1997. With The Dawn Of Time he presents his 6th album, this time his compositions are based on the creation of the universe. Bellas tells the story in his own way - in 19 songs with a running time just shy of 80 minutes. And so you'll get everything from atmospheric melodic metal tunes to shredding parts, to neo-classical and progressive sounds. George Bellas also plays bass and keyboard, but hired Marco Minnemann to do the drums. Actually it doesn't matter which 2 songs you pick, it will give a good impression about what to expect. I would recommend Carbon Creature and Suns Of Andromeda to get an idea... Or you check out the video clips for The Dawn Of Time and Machine Man.
The songs offer a large variety of sounds, but still sound homogenous. Occasionally they are a bit too long - at least for me -, but friends of instrumental music should check out The Dawn Of Time as it's not the typical shred album.
